St. Bridget’s Convent is a private girls’ school situated in Colombo 7. It was founded in 1902 by the Sisters of the Good Shepherd Congregation, who administer it to this day.
The school is located at C W W Kannangara Mawatha, and comprises a Collegiate, Primary and Montessori school.

The Feast of the Visitation of Our Lady was celebrated today with great reverence and devotion. The Holy Mass was presided over by Rev Fr Asitha Hettiarachchi.
Following the tradition, the Head Prefect Thenu Wanduragala had the honor of crowning the statue of Our Lady a gesture symbolizing her queenship and grace.
Despite the challenging weather the celebration continued with unwavering spirit. The statue of Our Lady was carried in a procession around the school accompanied by students and staff who braved the elements to express their devotion.
It was indeed a day of spiritual renewal, strengthening the bond of faith within the school community.

A Special Thanksgiving Holy Mass was organized by the Collegiate School Choir together with the Rev. Sisters of St. Bridget’s Convent on the 24th of May in the Convent Chapel to bid farewell to His Excellency Archbishop Brian Udaigwe the Apostolic Nuncio in Sri Lanka who will be leaving our shores to take up his new mission in Ethiopia and also to welcome the new Deputy Head of the Apostolic Nunciature - Rev. Monsignor Roberto Lucchini from the Vatican as they both embark on their new journey!
