Achievements in Swimming

NATIONAL AGE GROUP DIVING CHAMPIONSHIP 2025

The 49th National Age Groups Diving Championship 2025 held at the Sugathadasa National Sports complex, Diving pool from 9th to 11th of May 2025. 

St.Bridget’s Convent was awarded as 1st runners – up with 88 points in this event.
  • Kayla Angunawela emerged as the group D ( Under – 11 ) girls diving champion.
  • Manudi Gunarathna emerged as the group B ( Under – 15 ) girls diving champion.
  • Kisara Ranawaka emerged as the Open ( Over – 20 )girls diving champion.
Kisara Ranawaka was awarded as the Open (over – 20) girls diving champion for the year 2025.
Her achievements are as follows:
  • 1st place from 1m Spring Board
  • 1st place from 3m Spring Board
  • 3rd place from platform

Manudi Gunarathna was awarded as the Group B ( under – 15 ) girls diving champion for the year 2025.

NATIONAL AGE GROUP AQUATIC CHAMPIONSHIP 2025

National Age Group Aquatic Championship 2025, held at the Sugathadasa National Sports Complex swimming pool from May 7th to 11th.

Kaneisha De Silva
showcased their exceptional skills in the under-17 and under-15 age group categories.
 
Senara’s achievements are as follows:
  • 1st in 1500m Freestyle
  • 1st in 800M Freestyle
  • 3rd in 400M Freestyle
Kaneisha’s achievements are as follows:
  •  1st in 100m Butterfly
  • 1st in 200m Butterfly
  • 7th in 50m Butterfly.

INTERMEDIATE DIVING CHAMPIONSHIP (SLASA) - 2025

At Intermediate Diving Championship held on 26th and 27th of April at Royal College pool 

St. Bridget’s Convent was awarded 1st runners – up with 88 points.

OPEN WATER SWIMMING CHAMPIONSHIP 2025

At the Inaugural 3Km open water sea swimming championship 2025 held at the beach park port city Colombo on the 23rd of February 2025


Kaneisha De Silva placed second in the under 12 and 15 girls category 

WESTERN PROVINCE COLORS AWARDS 2024

At the Western Province Colors awards held in December 2024 the following students were awarded colours and merit awards.

  • Amaiah Rassool was awarded merit for the 2022 and colors for the year 2023 for her achievements in swimming.
  • Anjali Agalawaththa was awarded colors for swimming for the year 2022.
  • Rashini Perera was awarded colors for swimming for the year 2022.

SHORT COURSE NATIONALS 2024

At the short course nationals 2024, Amaiah Rasool emerged as a Champion in the 200m Butterfly event

and

secured 3rd Place in the 50m and 100m  butterfly event 

SINGAPORE NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP 2024

At the National Championship 2024 which was held in Singapore on 31 of August.

 

Kisara Ranawake was placed 1st in Synchronised platform event. 

NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS 2024

At the National Championships 2024 which was held at Sugathadasa Stadium on 24th – 28th July.

Amaiah Rasool emerged the National Champion at the 200m Butterfly event for the 3rd Consecutive year. 

SRI LANKA SCHOOL DIVING AND SWIMMING CHAMPIONSHIP 2024

 

At the 49th Sri Lanka School Diving and Swimming Championships 2024 which was held on 9th – 14th July. 

 

Ariana Angunuwela was awarded as the under 14 girls Diving Championship for the year 2024.

NATIONAL AGE GROUP DIVING CHAMPIONSHIP 2024

At the 48th National Age group Diving Championships 2024 which was held on 28th and 29th of June 2024

 emerged champions in the Group A and Group D age groups respectively

Kisara Ranawaka was placed 1st in 1m Springboard and 2nd in both 3m and Platform events. (Group A)

Shirel Wickramaratne was placed 2nd in 1m Springboard and 1st in 3m and Platform events. (Group D)       

ALL ISLAND SCHOOL GAMES 2023

At the school games which was held from 23rd to 25th September at the Sugathadasa pool complex

Amaiah Rasool was placed

1st in 100m & 200m butterfly stroke

and

2nd in 50m butterfly stroke

THE ANNUAL HONG-KONG AGE GROUP DIVING CHAMPIONSHIP in Hong Kong from 30th August to 5th September 2023

This marks the first time in history that a Sri Lankan team is participating in this prestigious event.

were selected to represent Sri Lanka.

 

 

48th Annual SL Schools All Island Age Group Aquatic Championships 2023

At this meet held at Sugathadasa Stadium pool complex from 23rd to 27th August 2023, 

Kisara Ranawaka
1st in 1m springboard and 2nd in 3m springboard and platform events.

Kisara was adjudged the under 18 Champion at this Meet.

Amaiah Rassool was placed
1st in 200m LC butterfly event in under 18 and 2nd in 50m LC and 100m LC butterfly events.

Under 14:

Manudi Gunarathne was placed
1st in 1m springboard,  3m springboard and platform events.

Manudi was adjudged the the under 14 Champion at this Meet.

Dilshi Fernando was placed 2nd in 3M and Platform events.

84th Annual Two mile Sea Swim 2023

Senara Ranawaka was placed second in the Under 15 Girls category.

50m Butterfly – 5th

Mount Lavinia 2 mile Sea Swim organized by the SL Aquatic Sports Union
