The Service of dedication of the Johannus Vivaldi 360 Organ
The Collegiate school choir of St.Bridget’s Convent performed at At St. Mary’s church Bambalapitiya on the 9th of September together with the choir of the church and the choir of St.Peter’s College. The choirs rendered their own contributions in song as well as combined contributions.
The World Renowned Ss. Cyril and Methodius Choir from Thessaloniki Greece visited St. Bridget’s Convent on the 30th August to meet with the School Choir
Ss. Cyril & Methodios Youth Choir is the leading ensemble of the largest Greek Choral Organization Ss. Cyril & Methodios Choir of Thessaloniki – Greece, founded in 1922 by its current Director Dr. Maria Emma Meligopoulou. The Youth Choir enjoys a high reputation as one of the most prominent Greek choral ensembles, with a particularly wide international presence and distinctions.
Additionally, the choir has performed all over Europe (UK, Germany, Italy, Spain, Finland, Rumania, Czech Republic, Austria, Switzerland, Russia, Belarus, Bulgaria, Turkey, Hungary and the Netherlands), in Asia (China & Singapore), in the USA, Canada, Israel, Egypt and South Africa, gaining the title of the most internationally travelled Greek choir ,with more than 200 performances abroad!
This visit was a great experience for our choristers to meet a world famous choir.
