St. Bridget’s Convent is a private girls’ school situated in Colombo 7. It was founded in 1902 by the Sisters of the Good Shepherd Congregation, who administer it to this day.
The school is located at C W W Kannangara Mawatha, and comprises a Collegiate, Primary and Montessori school.

Little Chefs Cookery Competition![]()

The Interact Club of St. Bridget’s Convent organized the Little Chefs competition for the Bridgetines to showcase their culinary talents while also promoting the importance of not only consuming but also preparing a healthy meal. It was conducted on 12th May 2023 with twenty teams taking part and in the presence of parents and friends of the participants.![]()

The competition was judged by Ms Panchamee Hewavissenti, a writer, journalist, linguist and culinarian who is presently engaged in research regarding culinary traditions of Sri Lanka for PhD. She was assisted by teachers Ms Chamila Fernando and Ms Peumi Fernando.
The staff and students of the collegiate school bid farewell to the Community leader Rev.Sr.Rohini Mendis and Teacher Mrs. Hansani Perera on the 24th of April 2023. Holy mass was celebrated followed by a farewell ceremony to show the love and appreciation of the staff and students.![]()
